Leadership styles refer to the manner by which the leader interacts with those under him. The way the leader successfully delegates task, communicates with his team and motivates them to do a good job depends on his leadership style and whether it is suitable for that particular environment. Leadership styles can also refer to the method used by any leader, not necessary working in a big organisation. It can be teachers who lead their students or the camp leader who looks after the group of campers. Normally, leaders use a mixture of styles to influence those under them. A strong but fair leader is one who will be respected and followed willingly. An autocratic leader doesn’t mean that he will be feared and disliked. If his ideas always work and he has all the necessary data for a successful operation as well as being fair in his dealings with his team, then he will be a successful autocratic leader.
